Employee and Workplace Safety Measures
Employee and Workplace Safety Measures
- Chroma ATE values the safety and health of its workers in the operational environment, adhering to a proactive preventive approach. The company’s Safety & Health Center and various units conduct comprehensive hazard identification and risk assessment for personnel under organizational control, including company employees and contracted labor (such as cleaning, security, catering, and other service personnel), in accordance with the "Management Regulations for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment of Occupational Safety and Health". Measures to control unacceptable risks are implemented based on the risk level. When there is a need for new equipment procurement or process changes, to ensure personnel and site safety and health, control measures are initiated from the source through change management. This may include safety assessments and increased safety protections before the purchase of machinery and equipment or the assessment and selection of low-hazard chemicals to replace high-hazard chemicals.
- Immediate emergency measures in the event of impending danger:
To effectively safeguard labor safety, Chroma ATE promotes in its internal training programs that when an immediate danger arises in the workplace, the person in charge of the site should promptly instruct workers to cease operations and evacuate to a safe place, and the company will not take any adverse actions against them. - The Safety & Health Center, as well as the plant and on-site units, establish standard operating procedures for workplace safety and health management. In terms of managing work environment, equipment, chemicals, etc., we conduct annual education and training as well as fire drills to ensure employee safety and health.
- To ensure worker and site safety, in addition to complying with government regulations and company operating standards, each facility conducts automatic inspections and self-inspections. Regular inspections by the Safety & Health Center and on-site medical services provided by physicians each month offer improvement suggestions for certain operational activities.
- Employees are a crucial asset of Chroma ATE, and their health and safety is paramount. To ensure that employees work in a healthy and safe environment and to implement occupational safety and health policies, Chroma ATE has established an "Occupational Safety and Health Committee" and convenes meetings every three months to review occupational safety and health policies, management plans, and implementation strategies.
- In 2023, there were no cases of occupational disease-related deaths or incidents at any of Chroma ATE's plants or subsidiaries, and the comprehensive injury index remained at 0.02.
