Optimized Test Items
The Chroma 8491 ATS is equipped with optimized standard test items for LED driver testing (lighting). The user is only required to define the test conditions and specifications for the standard test items to perform the test.
The optimized test items cover 6 types of power supply test requirements. OUTPUT PERFORMANCES verifie the output characteristics of the UUT. INPUT CHARACTERISTICS check the UUT input parameters. REGULATIONS test the stability of UUT under varying line-in and loading changes. TIMING & TRANSIENT test the timing and transient states during protection. PROTECTION TESTS trigger and test the protection circuit, the SPECIAL TESTS provide means to test the most sophisticated UUT's when unique test routines are needed.

Software Platform of ATS
The Model 8491 Test Systems include the industries most sophisticated power supply testing software platform, PowerPro III. PowerPro III provides users with an open software architecture suited for a wide range of applications and devices. Power Pro III is a Windows 7/10 environment, which provides necessary computer peripherals.
The 8491 test systems perfectly fit the modern large-scale mass production line. They can be integrated with Chroma Sajet Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for control and management of test stations, personnel, product numbers, and test programs, as well as the central server functions for uploading the test data. Realizing centralized management of test programs and data collection/report analysis, the 8491 test system helps users to create a smart factory, improve product quality and efficiency, reduce production costs, and maximize profit. Moreover, Chroma can also provide customized shop floor control systems to connect with the existing MES in the user's factory. Major manufacturers around the globe have already implemented MES system integration with Chroma's test systems.
Following the trend of Industry 4.0 automated intelligent production line, the 8491 test systems also offer self-checking functionality for the system hardware. After each product test, the system will automatically check the status of each equipment. When a test device or system shows an abnormality, the 8491 test systems enable digital I/O devices, output digital signals to notify management, as well as record the "System Start Test Time", "System End Test Time", and error messages on a local computer. Users can easily track the recordings and statistics for reference, to adjust the use and maintenance cycle of the equipment.
